Liability Waiver and Prohibitive Persons: Students will be required to fill out a liability waiver and sign a statement certifying they are the following:
- ARE over 18 years of age (if under 18, a legal guardian must sign the waiver and register and attend the course alongside minor)
- ARE a United States citizen or Permanent Legal Resident (Green Card)
- Are NOT a convicted felon that has not been annulled or pardoned
- Are NOT under indictment in any court for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year
- Are NOT a fugitive from justice
- Are NOT using or are addicted to any unlawful controlled substances
- Are NOT adjudicated as a mental defective or have been committed to any mental institution.
- Are NOT under a court order restraining you from harassing, stalking, or threatening somebody
- Have NOT have been discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions
- Have NOT renounced their United States citizenship
- Have NOT been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
In consideration for receiving permission to participate with S.F.T.R.U Inc. I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the S.F.T.R.U Inc, its officers, servants, agents, and employees (hereinafter referred to as “releasees” from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees, or otherwise, while participating with S.F.T.R.U Inc., or upon the range premises. I further understand that shooting can be dangerous, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with participating with S.F.T.R.U Inc. I hereby elect to voluntarily participate with S.F.T.R.U Inc. activities, to enter upon the above-named premises, and engage in activities knowing that conditions may be hazardous or may become hazardous or dangerous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my being a participant with S.F.T.R.U Inc., whether caused by the negligence of releasees or otherwise. I agree to indemnify S.F.T.R.U Inc. from and against any and all manner of claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any nature or kind whatsoever, including attorney fees and court costs, which may now or hereafter be sustained, suffered or incurred by S.F.T.R.U Inc. as a result of any claims asserted by me or by any other member or guest as a result of my participation at S.F.T.R.U Inc.
All participants must listen to the Range Officer and instructors at all times. Any person handling a firearm in an unsafe or careless manner will be banned from the range/classroom. Your membership may also be voided if your conduct should warrant it. All firearms brought into the range/classroom must be UNLOADED entirely. All guns and ammunition are subject to inspection by the range officer/Instructor for cleanliness, workability, and safety before entering the range. All participants will, at all times, exercise safe gun handling practices or risk being ejected. Targets may be brought into the range ONLY if approved by the Range Officer/Instructor. Any person seen firing at lights or any other range property or equipment will have their membership suspended and will be reported to the proper authorities for appropriate action. Safety glasses and hearing protection are MANDATORY when entering the range as additional consideration for training with S.F.T.R.U Inc. I agree that my attendance and/or performance at the academy and at events and such may be photographed, filmed and/or taped and used by S.F.T.R.U Inc. for marketing purposes, and I authorize the use of my image, and I waive any compensation thereof – even if I discontinue my training/participation with S.F.T.R.U Inc. I acknowledge that I consent to receive marketing from S.F.T.R.U Inc. via telephone, automated text messages, mail, and email. Message and data rates may apply.
Unsafe Student Ejection Policy:
We have a PERFECT safety record – and we plan to keep it that way. We reserve the right to ask anyone not observing the safety rules, not displaying the appropriate attitude, or under the influence of controlled substances to leave the classroom and/or range with no refund. Our student’s safety is our top concern – and this policy has been put in place to protect you.
